Soar
Support Group
If you're in the Toledo area and would like to have the support of other people with chronic pain, Soar might be the place for you. We aim to Soar through suffering by living life together & learning to thrive with chronic pain.
What We Do
At Soar, we provide a space to talk, share experiences, frustrations, and success stories. The group facilitators will come with a few questions to help start the discussion, but members are welcome to bring up their own topics and questions.
We have an anonymous box for members to submit topics and questions if you prefer to ask questions that way.
When appropriate, we may plan group outings or invite healthcare providers to come and share tips on living well with chronic pain.
Where We Meet
Harvest Lane Alliance Church seeks to serve as a community center and a safe space for the local community to gather. They graciously provide a meeting space for our group to meet. Ample handicap parking is available outside of the church for your convenience. We also provide a variety of seating options to accommodate different needs.

Who We Are
Soar was started by people with chronic pain and for people with chronic pain. If persistent pain impacts your relationships, your work, or any part of your life, we welcome you. Friends and family are also free to come support you and join our community.
Chronic pain takes many forms. Sometimes it's caused by a genetic condition and has been with you your entire life. Other times it develops after a traumatic accident or illness. It may not have an obvious reason, and can just come with age.
Whether you've had chronic pain for 3 months, or 30 years, your experience is valuable and can help others. We believe that if the many people who suffer in silence alone come together in community, we can help one another to live better, fuller lives.
When We Meet
Group meetings are held biweekly on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm, but dates may change over time and for holidays. For our most recent group dates, please click the link below.
